Anyways, I was thinking the other day... what would we do if there was a zombie apocalypse?
Probably stock up on non-perishables and bottled water, get a gun or some other items to use as weapons and hole up in our attic, which is above Jay's room and you need a ladder to climb up into, until the threat was over.
See, after we climb up there, we can knock the ladder down and close up the door - zombie's aren't smart enough to use a ladder so they wouldn't be able to reach us. If we needed to get down, it's not far jump and we could just get back up via the ladder and knock it back down before closing up the door.
With all the movies and books out there about zombies and living in a post- zombie apocalypse world... I honestly don't see how people could not be prepared. Not to mention how many zombie shoot-em games are there now too? Killing zombies in a video game isn't just entertainment - consider it also survival training!
I mean, we all know that to kill a zombie you have to shoot them in the head or bash in their skull real good (as gory as that sounds, but hey - it's survival!). And we all know not to let them bite you. The problem with all the books and movies is that the survivors aren't prepared or aware of what to do around zombies - they live in a universe without all the zombie movies and books, etc unlike us in the real world. Knowing what we already know, there's not really any excuse for why we as a society wouldn't already be prepared.
What about you?
Have you thought about what you would do if a zombie apocalypse ever happened?
I have thought about it a lot. My plan is to run to the coast. I live in the city of Atlanta (yep The Walking Dead city) and I'm only 4 hours from the coast. From there we live on a boat. We will fish and boil water. I just need to learn to shot a gun.
ReplyDeleteI never read the book World War Z but I am looking forward to the movie.
I just bought World War Z. I can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a good read!! Hope you like it, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteAnd Nikki, you should totally read it! That's a good plan though - in the book they interview a guy that lived on a big ship during the apocalypse... the problem though was with floaters - I swear, they covered almost every possible scenario you could think of when it comes to survival plans - one of the Korea's completely cut themselves off from society and no one could get in or out of the country and communication was cut off so no one knew if the citizens were alive or dead or all zombies... you NEED to read it, Klout Zombie Influencer ;-)
